New Materials
View a list of recently acquired materials. Follow the provided links for each title to request items or access them directly.
General Collection
The main collection includes books of interest to students in any of the UA Wayne majors (Education, Nursing, Social Work, Business, etc.) as well as books that support projects assigned in our general education courses.
Children’s Literature
The Children’s Literature collection includes picture books, early readers, chapter books, and nonfiction titles for early childhood through the middle grades. The collection includes award winners and notable titles from national “outstanding trade book” lists.
The Teaching Resources collection includes materials to help education students develop curriculum and class activities. Kits and multiple-copy sets, along with decodable readers support our students’ coursework, assignments, and field experiences, as well as Science of Reading initiatives.

The Library encourages students and the campus community to enjoy recreational reading. Reading for pleasure is another habit that supports academic success.
The High Demand collection is a leased selection of popular titles and current best sellers. When titles are no longer popular, we simply send them back for a new selection of popular titles. Chances are, you’ve seen many of the books in this collection on BookTok!

Reserves
Reserves are located at the Information Desk. Materials include course materials placed on reserve by faculty and more general items that require shorter lending periods due to high circulation. The collection also includes calculators, select charging cables, and other items.
The library staff are here to answer your questions and guide you through all parts of the research process.
Research Assistance
From making sense of a research assignment to selecting an appropriate database, the library staff are here to navigate your academic projects. We also are here to help with your general interests. Whatever has you curious, we’re here to offer guidance and develop search strategies. Assistance is available in person at the Information Desk or the Research Huddle, or virtually via text, chat, email, or Teams.
Students who spend time in the library set themselves up for academic success. Whether you need a place to study by yourself or want to work on a project with your friends or classmates, the Library has what you need to relax, recharge, and be productive.
Study Rooms
UA Wayne Library's Study Rooms are great for individual study or for studying as a small group. Study rooms include seating for 1-4 people, a computer, dry erase board, and power outlets.
Printing
The library’s ZipPrint printing station offers black and white ($.05 per page) and color ($.10 per page) printing. Printing requires a valid ZipCard with available funds. Funds can be added to ZipCard accounts online.
Print jobs can be sent to the print station using one of the library’s computers, or from a personal laptop equipped with the correct printer drivers.
Installing Printers on Mobile and Chromebook
Coffee Station
The Library’s coffee station is equipped with a Keurig coffee maker, a variety of K-cups, and basic coffee supplies (cream and sugars). Coffee can be purchased for $1 (cash only).
Members of our local community are welcome to use the library.
Community Library Cards
Community members can apply for a community library card by providing either a valid Driver's License or State ID to verify being at least 18 years of age and current address. A community library card is valid for one year from the date of registration and may be renewed annually. Some borrowing restrictions apply to community library cards. Please contact the library staff for details.
Computer Use
Community members with a valid community library card may be allowed restricted access to select library computers not being used by students, faculty or staff.
