Smucker Learning & Testing Center

The Smucker Learning Center offers peer and professional tutoring, paper-based and online group testing, reasonable accommodations, counseling resources and supports, and a well resourced environment to students.

Need help or a place to study? Stop by B‑107 to meet with a Peer Learning Assistant or Professional Tutor, or head to B‑117 for open computer lab access. Study with friends or settle in solo—all services are free for UA Wayne students.

Tutoring is available by appointment or on a walk-in basis in-person or virtually. Email smuckerlearningcenter@uakron.edu to schedule a virtual appointment or click "Schedule Tutoring Appointment" above. Please include the course subject, as well as the preferred date and range of times for the tutoring appointment. Expect to receive an email reply within one business day.

Computer Lab

The Smucker Learning Center Computer Lab is never closed for classes and has all of the software you'll need for a class at UA Wayne. Computer Assistants are available to answer your questions in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Brightspace.
