Confirm Your Enrollment
To confirm your intent to enroll at The University of Akron Wayne Campus, complete the Confirm Your Enrollment form in your Applicant Portal and pay your confirmation fee.

Watch Your Email Inbox
Watch your email inbox for a confirmation of your orientation day & time
Once you confirm your enrollment, the Orientation Team will begin emailing information with your new student orientation information.
Get Ready
Your New Student Orientation Checklist provides the details you need to get ready for orientation
- Complete placement testing, if required you would receive an email to your Akron email
- Meet with your academic adviser to schedule your classes
- Add your assigned orientation date & time to your calendar
- Gather any financial aid or registration questions
You've scheduled your placement tests and received an email confirmation on your orientation date. Now you need to know what to bring to orientation.
- A photo ID, such as a driver's license
- A smile - we will be taking your picture for your Zip Card
- Comfortable walking shoes
- Money, so you can visit the bookstore
- Your questions - we're here to help
All new students are required to participate in a University orientation program. Orientation will prepare you for enrollment at UA Wayne by providing academic advising, class registration, access to My Akron, student services and more. The following is a description of each session that you will attend during your orientation program.

Parents are not required to attend, however they are welcome to join you.
Yes. UA Wayne requires all new students and new transfer students to participate in an orientation program before enrolling in classes. Orientation programs are offered on a variety of dates prior to the start of each academic term.
Transfer orientation has been designed to ease the student's transition from one institution to UA Wayne. Transfer students are required to attend a transfer orientation program to meet with an academic adviser, review their degree plan and to enroll in the appropriate courses toward degree completion.
Yes. An email confirmation will be sent to the email you supplied on the admissions application.
