Step 1: Confirm your enrollment

To confirm your intent to enroll at The University of Akron Regional Campuses, complete the Confirm Your Enrollment form in your Applicant Portal and pay your confirmation fee.

Step 2: Watch your email inbox for a confirmation of your orientation day & time

Once you confirm your enrollment, the Regional Campus Orientation Team will begin emailing information with your new student orientation information.

Scheduling Orientation Questions

Do I need to go to orientation?

Yes. The University of Akron Wayne College requires all new students and new transfer students to participate in an orientation program before enrolling in classes. Orientation programs are offered on a variety of dates prior to the start of each academic term.

Why do transfer students have to go to an orientation?

Transfer orientation has been designed to ease the student's transition from one institution to The University of Akron Wayne College. Transfer students are required to attend a transfer orientation program to meet with an academic adviser, review their degree plan and to enroll in the appropriate courses toward degree completion.

What types of new student orientations are there?

There are four types of new student orientations based on how the student is admitted.

    • Adult
    • College Credit Plus (CCP)
    • First Year
    • Transfer
You must attend your required orientation type based on how you are admitted.

Can my parent come to orientation?

Parents are not required to attend, however they are welcome to join you.

Will I receive a confirmation on my orientation date and time?

Yes. An email confirmation will be sent to the email you supplied on the request for an orientation date form. Please note you should pick up to three choices, we strive to give you your first choice. It is imperative you read your confirmation email carefully.
