Students, staff and faculty enjoyed some Halloween fun with food, treats and activities at UA Wayne's Jack O'Lantern Jubilee. The event took place on Wednesday, Oct. 23rd in the Student Life Building's Smucker Multi-Purpose Room. Departments around campus decorated tables and gave out fun stickers and other giveaways, candy, and make & takes. Most of the giveaways were created in our very own Wayne College 3D Lab.
Included in the fun were Anthem and Aria, the mentalist duo known for their appearances on Hulu and America's Got Talent, and a campus department pumpkin contest. We have some very creative people at Wayne College, as witnessed in all nine of the contest entries. Congratulations to Sarah Winstead, who received the most votes for her amazing carved pumpkin. A delicious BBQ bar was also available for lunch, catered by MARR's Cafe.
The Jack O'Lantern Jubilee was a new concept from Student Engagement & Campus Events. It was reimagined from last year's HalloWayne event, where students went to different departments across campus to collect treats and giveaways and do activities. Hosting the event in the J.M. Smucker Multi-Purpose Room helped centralize the event and made it easier for students and staff to explore all that was available in this convenient location in between classes or while on campus.
