Sterile Processing Class Offered at UA Wayne this May
A new class is being offered at UA Wayne this May for those who want to learn sterilization practices and prepare to become a Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician.
Sterile Processing is a field dedicated to supporting the healthcare industry with supplies and equipment. This University of Akron UAx Extended Campus class at Wayne College includes lectures, demonstrations and practice. Upon completion, students will be eligible to take the Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD) Exam. See sterileprocessing.org/cbspd.htm for more information.

The class runs from May 19 – July 23, 2025 and meets Mondays & Wednesdays from 9 –11:45 a.m. at UA Wayne College, Room A-135. The fee is $995 and includes the The Basics of Sterile Processing textbook. Please note: the cost of the exam is not included.
