Summer Babysitter Training Course Offered In Millersburg

The UA Wayne College Holmes County Higher Education Center will be offering a Red Cross certified babysitting training course to students ages 11 and up.

Taught by a certified American Red Cross instructor, this course is designed to provide youth with the knowledge and skills necessary to safely and responsibly give care for children and infants. The training will help participants to develop leadership skills, learn how to develop a babysitting business, keep themselves and others safe, help children behave; and learn basic child care and basic first aid. All students successfully completing the course will be awarded a certificate of completion.

The class will be held on June 6, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Holmes County Center, 88-B E. Jackson Road, Millersburg. Cost is $90 and includes lunch.

Students interested in attending should register as soon as possible as class size is limited. To register, call the Holmes County Center at 330-674-2514. The class will be filled on a first-come, first -served basis.
