Grace Gerber initially planned to attend UA’s Akron campus for her freshman year of college but ultimately chose Wayne College due to its lower cost and friendly atmosphere. Beyond the affordable tuition, Grace cherishes the close-knit campus community and small class sizes at Wayne. “I have gotten to know each and every one of my peers very well, and it feels like spending time with family every time I go to class,” she shared.

A significant part of Grace's student experience has been her involvement on campus. “I work for different offices and greatly enjoy my time spent with other students. It has been such a wonderful and peaceful experience,” she said. Her favorite role as a student assistant is giving tours and helping out during New Student Orientations.

Grace is a full-time nursing student and plans to graduate in May 2026. Her journey at Wayne College exemplifies the enriching experiences and supportive community that the campus offers. The opportunity to pursue a nursing degree close to home and build close relationships with classmates and faculty is leading her on a pathway to success. “My goal is to work at a hospital on a post-operation floor. I don't know where I will be working yet, but I’m looking forward to great opportunities,” she expressed.
