Former Tri-Way Teacher is Featured Artist at Wayne College

The University of Akron Wayne College is pleased to announce The Art of Sherrie Dennis is on display in The Gallery of the Student Life Building. The exhibit is presented in partnership with Wayne Center for the Arts and is showing through Dec. 20. Admission is free.

The eclectic collection uses acrylic, watercolor, and collage to create a visual adventure across a range of themes from people to animals, and fantasy to whimsy.

Featured nationally and throughout Northeastern and Southern Ohio, Ms. Davis is a lifelong educator, teaching high school as well as college courses at Malone University and Kansas City Art Institute. She holds a BFA in painting and print making from Kansas City Art Institute and a MFA in painting and drawing from the American University in Washington, DC. She earned a certificate in art from The University of Akron and has attended workshops and forums at The Art Institute of Pittsburgh, the Savannah College of Art and Design, and Moore College of Art and Design.
