Calling all writers, performers and musicians! "Join the Jam" at The University of Wayne College for the 25th annual Poetry, Prose & Acoustical Jam on Thurs., Feb. 16 at 7:30 pm in the Student Life Building. The College is located at 1901 Smucker Rd. in Orrville. The event is free and open to the public.
Poetry, Prose and Acoustical Jam is a coffeehouse-style, family-friendly event for aspiring artists and musicians to be on the public stage and enjoy five minutes in the spotlight while performing a favorite or original poem, prose or music. The event is sponsored by Waynessence, the College’s literary and arts publication, and is open to students and the community-at-large. Refreshments will be served by Gathering Grounds Coffee House of Wooster.
Registration is required to perform, but not required to attend. Call Sarah at 330-684-8798 to reserve a timeslot.
Wayne College is proud to present Poetry, Prose and Acoustical Jam as part of its 2017 Community Connections Special Events Series. Future events include Writers Workshop April 1, Administrative Professionals Day April 25, and the Wayne County Mini-Maker Faire May 20.
