The University of Akron Wayne College invites students to picture themselves at Wayne College by attending an open house Monday, Oct. 25, at 6 p.m., with check-in beginning at 5:30 p.m. All prospective students – from high school students just starting their college search to adults thinking about a return to college – are invited to attend.
The open house will include tours of the campus and opportunities to speak with admissions counselors and financial aid representatives. Current students will also be available to answer questions about student life on campus, and academic advisers and faculty members will be available to answer questions about specific majors.
The open house also will feature several activities. For those who are unsure what degree or career path to pursue, there will be computerized testing available to determine their skills and interests. Participants considering transferring to Wayne can have their credits evaluated and those who have been in the workforce can learn how to earn college credit for life experience.
According to Admissions Counselor Sarah Morrow, “Participants hopefully will leave having all of their questions answered and knowing what it would be like to be a Wayne College student.”
