College Credit Plus
College Credit Plus lets students in grades 7–12 take college courses while still in high school — and earn both high school and college credit. It's open to public, private, and homeschool students.
What is CCP?
- Take up to 30 credits per year (including fall, spring, and summer)
- Classes count for both high school and college credit. This counts most specifically at public universities in state of Ohio based on chosen degree.
- Public high school students’ tuition will be paid directly out of the public school’s state funds at an agreed upon discounted university tuition rate
- Non-public and homeschooled students are subsidized by a specific sum of money set aside by the Ohio General Assembly, and funds are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis
- Textbooks, tuition and fees related to coursework are provided for both public and non-public students by the individual school district
- Get ahead in college and graduate sooner
- Save money on college tuition
- Potentially reduce financial aid and the time required to obtain a degree
- Take advanced or extra classes earlier
- Prepare for college-level work and expectations
- Potentially reducing costs to parents, students, school districts, and taxpayers
You need either:
- A 3.0 cumulative unweighted high school GPA,
OR
- Obtain one of these test scores:
ACT: English 18, Reading 22, or Math 22
SAT: Reading/Writing 480 or Math 530
- If your GPA is at least 2.75 cumulative unweighted high school GPA, it will be evaluated by the Office of Admissions to determine if ACT or SAT scores are required.
- 7th and 8th graders must take the ACT or SAT. No exceptions.

CCP is a great opportunity, but it’s not meant to replace high school experiences or advanced placement (AP) courses. It should complement your education, not replace it.
