Teaching Learning Collaborative

The mission of the Teaching Learning Collaborative is “Enhancing the teaching and learning environment for student success.

The Teaching Learning Collaborative is a college-wide initiative dedicated to developing innovative resources and opportunities that engage students, faculty, and staff in an improved learning experience.

Teaching:
Uncover new ways to reach students by considering differences and reflecting upon how teaching practices might be modified to enhance learning.

Learning:
Strong study skills are essential to succeed in school and in life. TLC is here to help you as you put effort into learning, understanding, and applying the material.

Technology:
Technology is a driving force in today’s world. Free software training is available for faculty, staff, and students, including the creation of instructional technology materials.

Well-Being:
Only you can determine when your academic life ends and your personal life begins. If you find yourself constantly racing through the day, feeling mentally-winded, then you definitely lack the 'breathing space' needed for reflection. TLC is here to help you make your best contribution in both.

Ask the Experts:
Get answers to your important questions with the help of The University of Akron experts. Our free Ask the Expert feature connects you with UA faculty, staff, students, and administrators, who can answer questions on a wide variety of topics.
