Have you heard about our internship program? (Download the flyer (PDF))
The University of Akron Wayne College partners with local medical practices and related businesses to provide internship experiences for students. Eligible students are near completion of their classes and need 120 hours of work in a sponsoring organization to finish their programs.
Benefits for your business
Internships can be paid or unpaid, but must focus on the student’s learning. By providing internship opportunities, you can expect . . .
Interns that you choose
It’s better for your organization and for the student’s education when there is a good “fit” between interns and sponsors. You review the potential intern’s resume and interview the candidate just as you would for any employee.
What’s expected of your business
Internships can be great experiences for both the student and the employer. The internship supervisor at your organization is expected to guide the intern in several ways.
