Why is Network Security Important?
The integrity of a network can easily be compromised if the proper security measures are not put into place. A career in network security means you will help to make sure important information stays locked and private, with little to no chance of someone hacking into the system or trying to steal information.
What Will I Learn?
The network security professional training program provides you with the knowledge, theories and skills required to keep network information systems safe from invasions and hackers. The program also prepares you for the CompTIA Security+ Certification exam – the credential that proves competency with information security.
Topics covered in this training program include:
• An introduction to security and the challenges of securing information
• An overview of who hackers are, network attacks and defenses
• Threats and risks to computer systems, including software-based, hardware-based and virtualized system attacks.
• Hardening, protecting and preventing attacks and applying software security applications
• Categories of attacks and attack methods
• How to craft a secure network and apply network devices
• Wireless security protections, vulnerabilities and personal and enterprise wireless security
