Up until Feb 2003 I was a Senior Research Chemist for 34 years at The Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. in their Analytical Science Department. While working at Goodyear I was one of the Members of the Top Ten Individual Developers of Analytical Methods. I have had numerous publications, trade secrets and or patents including one book chapter entitled "The Microstructure of Cyclized Polyisoprene". I also served as a Trustee for the Major Analytical Instrument Facility at Case Western Reserve University.
Previously I had taught at Lourdes Academy High School in Cleveland and at both the main campus and the Ashland branch of Kent State University. I have been teaching here at Wayne College since 1988. Subjects that I have taught here at Wayne College include Physics I with Lab; Descriptive Astronomy; Basic Chemistry with Lab; and Introduction to General, Organic and Biochemistry I and II with Labs.
I enjoy teaching, soccer and an avid OSU football fan. As a soccer official I have had the privilege of traveling around the country officiating many tournaments including the US Cup, one of the largest international youth soccer tournaments. No longer am I an active referee but still combine my love of soccer and teaching by being an licensed instructor for both the State of Ohio and FIFA giving classes annually on both levels.
