Dr. Ferris joined the faculty at Wayne College in 2012. Her primary interests are media effects related to television and the study of new technology. Current projects include the impact of crime drama television on perceptions of forensic evidence and the use of Facebook related to self-disclosure and social cohesion. Amber is currently serving as the Assistant Editor for the Ohio Communication Journal. She also volunteers at the Orrville Area Boys and Girls Club, teaching youth how to use technology safely and effectively.
