Coach Jerome Moss is beginning his seventh season as the Head Women’s Basketball Coach at The University of Akron Wayne College. He was a two-sport scholarship athlete earning All-Conference honors in both sports. He is a graduate of Malone University with a Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management and continued on to earned a Master’s of Science Degree in Sports Administration and Coaching from The University of Akron.

Coach Moss has 9 years of experience coaching and teaching on the High School and Collegiate level. He has coached at Malone University (football/ defensive backs 2005), Firestone High School (football), East High School (football), and Wayne College Men’s Basketball.  In addition to his duties as an Assistant Lecturer and Women’s Head Basketball Coach, Coach Moss works at Minority Behavioral Health Group as a Qualified Mental Health Specialist in which he provides community psychiatric treatment services within the Akron community. Coach Moss is very excited to play a vital role in the development of players on the women’s basketball team and other students within the University of Akron and Wayne College community. He believes that athletics can be used to teach valuable lessons that can positively impact student-athletes and other members of society lives.
