The Barnet-Hoover Farmhouse is a unique and historically significant facility and is intended for certain educational, cultural and other activities that are consistent with the University's goals and mission.
Entire farmhouse is equipped with wireless Internet access; laptop, projector and screen are available for presentations, as well as flip charts and markers.
Kitchen area has a small refrigerator and 30-cup coffeemakers to provide refreshments for your guests. Coffee supplies are included.
Second-story conference room comfortably seats 10 people around its large table.
Classroom area comfortably seats 25 guests.
Two restrooms are located on the first floor and are handicapped accessible.
The gathering room has a wood-burning fireplace that can be used on colder days.
Office area includes telephone, computer with printer/fax machine and office supplies.
The Barnet-Hoover Farmhouse is available for rental during normal operating hours of the College. Generally, these hours are Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., Friday, 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. the Farmhouse is closed on all national holidays and when the University is otherwise closed. Use of the facility outside these times may be considered.
A minimum of four weeks notice is required for each event. All reservation requests should be directed to Debbie Muniak at 330-684-8729.
Any damage caused to the facility during its use shall be charged to the users by invoice and will reflect the cost of repair, replacement, etc. for such damage.
$100 (minimum) for four hours and $25 each hour thereafter to a maximum of $200 per day. Special rates are available for nonprofit organizations.
$10 fireplace fee for use of fireplace during function. Fire must be started and maintained by University personnel only.
Farmhouse visitors have access to all the parking lots on the Wayne College campus.

Depending on size, time, nature of event you may be required to retain security/University Police at an additional charge.
The Barnet-Hoover Farmhouse is designated by the University of Akron as a nonsmoking facility; smoking is not permitted anywhere inside the house or on the surrounding porch areas.
All retail activity, including the sale of alcoholic beverages, is strictly prohibited within the House and on the surrounding property.
Any form of gambling or games of chance on this property is prohibited.
The maximum capacity of the Barnet-Hoover Farmhouse is 38 people.
